Dear Residents
๐ You Said, We Will
We want our communities to feel safe, listened to and confident that the issues you raise with us matter. Following feedback from local residents, we have identified our latest priorities and will be working with you and our partners to make a positive difference. ๐ฎโโ๏ธ๐ฎโโ๏ธ ๐ธ Keeping our school communities safe Youโve told us about concerns around our local primary schools, including speeding, inconsiderate driving and dangerous parking. We know how important it is for children, parents and staff to feel safe at the school gates. Our local officers will be carrying out patrols around primary schools across the beat, speaking with motorists and offering advice and education. Where necessary, we will also take enforcement action. Weโll continue working closely with our schools and local enforcement officers to help make the school run safer for everyone. ๐ ๐ณ Wilkes Avenue & Millennium Gardens Residents have raised concerns about drug-related anti-social behaviour around Wilkes Avenue, Millennium Gardens and the surrounding area. Weโll be spending more time in these locations, carrying out regular patrols and working with our partner agencies, landowners and, most importantly, our local residents. The information you share with us helps build a better picture of what is happening, allowing us to take appropriate action and work together to prevent further problems. ๐ Safer roads in Moira Weโve also heard your concerns about speeding and inconsiderate driving in and around Moira. Weโll be carrying out speed checks and road safety awareness activity, as well as speaking with residents to better understand where the biggest concerns are. Our aim isnโt simply enforcement. We want to encourage safer, more considerate driving and make our roads safer for everyone who lives, works and travels through our communities. ๐ Priorities set from 1 October 2026 ๐ Please keep talking to us. Your reports and conversations with our local team really do help us understand what matters most to you and where our attention is needed. By working together, we can help make our communities safer and more enjoyable places to live. ๐ #YouSaidWeWill #CommunityPolicing #BeatPriorities #RoadSafety #SaferSchools #ASB #Moira | ||
